Record Your First Game Result
Record a completed basketball game result and understand when it affects competition standings.

This tutorial records the result of one completed game.
Prerequisites
- A league schedule exists.
- The game has been played.
- You have the final score from the official record.
- You have organization Owner, Admin, or Staff access.
- Organization management is available for game updates.

Open the game actions menu and choose Enter result.

Save the final score and mark this game as completed.
Status will be saved as completed for this result update.
After save
The game becomes completed after the result is saved.
Box score editing stays in the dedicated completed-game box-score route.
Open the schedule list
Go to the league schedule area and find the scheduled game.
Open result entry
Open the game actions and choose Enter result. LeagueFlow opens the
Result entry modal.
Confirm the matchup
Check the modal title, such as River City vs Metro North, before entering
scores.
Enter both scores
Enter the home team score and away team score. Both scores are required and cannot be negative.
Save the result
Select Save result. LeagueFlow saves the game status as completed for this
result update.
Expected result: the game is completed with its final score saved. A competition game updates its affected standings. A Match Game stays in the separate non-competition table until assigned to a competition phase. Box score editing remains in the dedicated completed-game box-score route.
If the game was completed by mistake
An organization Owner or Admin can open the completed game's actions and choose Reopen as scheduled when the game has not actually been played.
League schedule
Owners and Admins can correct an accidental completed result when the game is eligible.

Reopen game

Use this when a result was entered before the game was actually played.
Reopening removes the recorded score, changes the status to Scheduled, and recalculates league standings. Teams, venue, date, and time stay unchanged.
Schedule visibility
Published makes the scheduled game visible on the public league schedule.
Choose Published or Draft, review the warning, then select Reopen game. LeagueFlow clears the score, returns the game to scheduled, and recalculates affected standings. The action is unavailable when a saved box score, officials-console history, a completed league or phase, or dependent later-phase games make reopening unsafe.
If something blocks the workflow
- If
Enter resultis missing, confirm the game is still scheduled and your account has organization access. - If the score is rejected, enter both home and away scores as zero or greater.
- If player statistics are also required, finish the result first and then open the completed-game box-score workflow.
- If
Reopen as scheduledis missing or blocked, ask an Owner or Admin to check for saved box scores, officials-console history, completed league or phase status, and dependent later-phase games.
