Add Teams and Players

Add teams and roster players to a LeagueFlow league using safe, organized roster data.

Beginner / 15 minutes / 3 min read

This tutorial adds teams and players to an existing league.

Prerequisites

  • A LeagueFlow organization exists.
  • A league exists inside that organization.
  • You have Owner or Admin access to add teams.
  • You have Owner, Admin, Staff, or scoped team-manager access to add roster players.
  • Organization management is available. View-only organizations cannot create teams or players.
  • You have team names and roster information ready.

Open the league teams area

From the league dashboard, open the teams area. The page heading uses the league name, such as Metro Cup 2026 teams.

Add and manage the teams that belong to this league. This is the base for future roster, schedule, and standings work.

Teams: 0

No teams yet

Add the first team to this league so roster and scheduling work can build on a real competition structure.

Choose manual setup or spreadsheet import

Use Add team for manual setup. If several teams and players already exist in a CSV or XLSX file, organization Owners and Admins can use Import spreadsheet instead.

  1. 1. Upload

  2. 2. Match columns

  3. 3. Review

  4. 4. Results

If something blocks the workflow

  • If Add team is unavailable, confirm you are an organization Owner or Admin and that the organization is not view-only.
  • If a scoped team manager cannot open another team, use the team assigned through registration.
  • If a player already exists, organization Owners can use Roster tools instead of creating a duplicate profile.
  • If several roster rows already exist in a file, use spreadsheet roster import and review possible matches before confirming.
