Add Players
Add roster members and understand current roster lifecycle rules.
3 min read
Players have shared profiles. Jersey number, position, roster status, and team-season photo overrides live on the team roster membership.
Before you start
- Create the team first.
- Player and roster work allows organization Owner, Admin, or Staff access.
- Scoped team managers can manage roster work when league registration grants team-module access.
- Player creation is blocked when the organization is in view-only mode.
- Completed leagues lock roster management.
Add players
Open the team roster
Start from the Team workspace inside the league. Open the Roster tab.
The roster area shows the number of players on the team, the Roster, Team profile, and Schedule tabs, and an Add player action when you can manage the roster.

Use spreadsheet import for several teams
Organization Owners and Admins can return to League teams and select Import spreadsheet when several team and player rows already exist in a CSV or XLSX file.
This is separate from the owner-only Import Team tool inside one team. Spreadsheet import works across the league and includes column matching plus row review before saving.
Import teams and players
Upload your existing spreadsheet. LeagueFlow will detect its columns, show every change, and ask you to confirm before saving anything to Metro Community League.
