Add Teams

Create team records inside a league before scheduling games or building rosters.

3 min read

Teams live inside a league. Create teams before building a full schedule or adding roster members.

Before you start

  • You need access to the league organization.
  • Team create and edit actions require organization Owner or Admin access.
  • Scoped team managers can work in the team module when they receive access through league registration.
  • Organization management must be available. View-only organizations cannot create teams until access is restored.
  • Prepare the team name, home base, color, logo, public profile details, staff, and private contact notes when available.

Add teams

Open the league teams area

Start from the league dashboard and open the teams route.

The page is labeled League teams. Organization managers with management access see Back to league, Invite teams, Import spreadsheet, and Add team. If the organization is in view-only mode, Import spreadsheet is unavailable and managers see Upgrade to add teams instead of Add team.

Add the first team to this league so roster and scheduling work can build on a real competition structure.

Create each team

Select Add team. The New team screen starts with Quick setup.

Fill in the main fields:

  • Team name is required.
  • Home base can be a city, venue, company, school, or local area.
  • Team color selects the team identity color.
  • Team logo is optional. Select Choose logo to upload a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image. LeagueFlow opens Position team logo so the logo can be cropped.

Review the team detail page

After the team is created, LeagueFlow opens the Team workspace.

The team page shows the team identity, Back to teams, Edit team, and a workspace with Roster, Team profile, and Schedule tabs.

Use Team profile to review the public team identity, staff directory, private contact details, internal notes, and team standing. Use Roster for player work and Schedule for the team's games.
